A Studio in Rajasthan

The Ladder Man
The Ladder Man

The images in the "A Studio in Rajasthan" series were created over a three-year period. The work is actually the result of a collaborative effort. Photo backdrops were painted by Zenule Khan and Chiman Dangi, and artist Rajesh Soni lent his talents as a photo hand-colorist. Rajesh is the grandson of Prabhu Lal Soni, who was once court photographer to the Maharaja Bhopal Singh of Mewar.

The images in the "A Studio in Rajasthan" series have been released in the following numbered editions:

- Seven 8 x 12 inch black and white digital prints
- Three 8 x 12 inch hand-colored digital prints
- Three 16 x 24 inch hand-colored digital prints.

All prints are signed by the artist, and embossed with his initials "W.X.W." in the lower margin. The hand-colorist, Rajesh Soni, has signed on the reverse.

Over one hundred different images constitute this series. What is presented here is a small sampling.
